Students will gain confidence in plant identification, herbal preparations, and the creation of personal and family wellness remedies. This course is both practical and soulful—perfect for those who wish to build lasting relationships with the green world. The Plant & Healing Series meets online bi-weekly for 11 months. In each class we will cover one to three new plants as well as the following topics: Topics Covered: Plant Identification – Learn to recognize common medicinal herbs and understand their characteristics and native habitats. Medicinal Uses of Herbs – Discover the healing properties of herbs and how they affect different bodily systems. Formulations – Craft infusions, decoctions, tinctures, salves, and tea through guided preparation techniques. Safe Use & Ethics – Understand use benefits and risks, potential interactions with medications, and ethical considerations in herbalism. Practical Applications – Hands-on remedy making with a focus on real-life uses for everyday ailments. Herbal Remedies for Everyday Health – Create and use simple recipes for everyday health and herbal first-aid formulas. Resource Gathering & Continued Learning – Learn how to navigate herbal references, deepen your studies, and walk the path of a lifelong learner in herbal medicine. Build on the foundation of 101 with practical knowledge about harvesting, ethics, and the global legacy of herbalism. Learn the responsibility that comes with using plants for medicine and how to navigate herbal supplements within the context of modern regulations. Herbalism 102 is a one- to two-hour course, meeting online. Topics Covered: Ethnobotany & Land – Explore the history of ethnobotany, responsible plant collection, and the relationship between herbalism and Indigenous land practices. Native Lands & Native – An overview of plants across the continents. Supplements & Regulation – An introduction to the world of herbal supplements, including safety, labeling, and U.S. health regulations.

This course introduces participants to the cultural and historical context of herbal medicine across the globe and lays a botanical foundation to understand how plants support healing. Herbalism 101 is a one- to two-hour course, meeting online. Topics Covered: Introduction to Herbalism – What is herbalism? The evolution and purposeful use of plants across cultures and time. Botany Basics – Understand plant anatomy, physiology, and the functions of various plant parts in herbal medicine. Etnobotany & Human Anatomy – How plants interact with the systems of the body and how peoples across the world have interacted with plants for healing and dietary purposes.

Join us for our monthly Women’s Circle to nourish and refine what you’ve been working, to dig out and clean up what you’re ready to leave behind, and prepare yourself for your next steps forward. Join Bare Roots Energy for our monthly Sacred Rhythms circle to solidify your connection with he Rhythms of the Earth. Welcome to your Sacred Rhythms Classroom, where we will meet each month for a new portal and new tools to help you stay clean and clear of the energies, habits, routines, and thoughts that keep you from your optimal self. Sacred Rhythms is a women's circle that studies the intertwined cycles of our planet, bodies, moods, habits, and lifestyles and explores how to integrate the balancing of those cycles into our lives. The class reviews facts & info about ancient deities, natural healing remedies, and energy cleansing practices. Sacred Rhythms is a non-denominational group, covering information from all cultures. At the beginning of the year, I offer a chance for participants to share their ancestral ties in order to include that research into the class throughout the year. During class, we have a guided meditation and the opportunity to receive Distance Reiki while you journal. We also have an epic dance sesh at the beginning and end of each class to activate our fabulous bodies and minds!
