Reiki attunement is a transformative journey. As your body becomes receptive to more light and healing energy, a natural alignment occurs, enhancing your clarity and openness and a deeper state of self-healing. I teach Reiki in its most traditional form, as it was established in Japan during the 1920s. There are four levels, with level one being the most popular and versatile for everyone. Reiki transforms us from within by relaxing the nervous system and can improve any environment immensely with consistent work. The key with Reiki is just that: consistency. The benefits can be exponential when we integrated into our daily lives! Each class builds on itself for the next, and the real gift is participating in Reiki Seminar, our monthly study group where we share experiences, practice with each other, and hone in on our skills, knowledge, and healing!

Okuden, Reiki Level 1

Level one is the level that most people acquire so that they can work on healing themselves and their loved ones in their home to better their own lives, environment, and health. It is recommended to have at least a full year of study and practice in Reiki level one before moving on to the next. Reiki level one also covers basic energy anatomy, the history of the practice, and all of the information needed to understand, work with, and benefit from the Reiki life. This level is a foundational understanding of how Reiki’s frequency is transformative through everything we do, not simply when we’re practicing the healing technique, but in all of the other facets of our lives as well.

Attunement

​Before attunement, you will be provided with an optional 21-day energy cleanse that will help the attunement move through you more gently. Reiki attunement can impact people in various ways that are both uplifting and impactful. Some individuals report a sense of awe and illumination running through their body, while others report fatigue and even cold-like symptoms during the day after attunement. There are even some individuals who report feeling nothing at all. Depending on where you are in your Spiritual journey and what your body requires of you at the moment of attunement will always impact the outcome.

Attunement side effects typically do not last longer than 2 days. If you are highly sensitive to energetic input, please consider this for yourself when planning to attend the attunement day, and reschedule your attunement with your instructor as needed.

The Course Outline

The Okuden Course and Attunement provides you with the skill and knowledge of self-treatment, giving you a tool that can not only improve your physical health, but also your mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being as well. Reiki Level One comes with a copy of the E-book manual, As You Heal, I Too Heal. A I Heal, You Too Heal. Reiki Manual Level 1, by Jamelle Zablow-Moloney. Soft-cover copies are available by request for $20.

Reiki Level 1 is covered over a course of 3 days, each class period lasting 1.5-2 hours long. Classes are scheduled according to participant requests and needs, and class sizes are kept small in order to meet the needs of everyone's fluctuating schedules.

During the first class day, you will learn:

• Energy anatomy, the body's major energy centers, and their function

• The nature of energy and the energetic body

• How to maintain a self-Reiki practice

• Grounding

• Intention setting

• Meditation practices

• Reiki: what it is, how it works, and how it can be used

• The 5 Principles of Reiki

During the second class day, you will learn:

• Reiki's history

• Reiki's modern history and lineage line

• The nature of the energetic and physical cleanse 

• The nature of the attunement process

• Preparing for treatment

• Self-treatment protocol

• The first Reiki symbol

• Traditional and modern techniques of Reiki treatment

During the third class day, you will learn:

• More on the traditional and modern techniques of Reiki treatment

• Reiki code of ethics

• You will receive attunement on this day

• We will practice treatment together as a group on this day
